Halloween! I love a good costume opportunity.
This year I went with the MK theme, I was Kitana, my friend Dipple was Raiden, and my brother Josh was Johnny Cage.
Taevin chose to dress up as Princess Jasmine.
We met up at Nana Arlene’s house with family (Taevin pictured with cousins) to show off our outfits and get a group together for trick-or-treat.
Later that night Dipple and I went over to Fort Wayne, Indiana to the club Early Birds to enter in a costume contest. We won 3rd place! Lots of comments on Dipple’s glowing hands!

Mommy & Daughter dinner date! I think that we went to the Golden Corral Buffet in Fort Wayne. The photos of Taevin with the horse and cow were taken in Decatur which is in between Van Wert (Home) and Fort Wayne. Also I know Taevin loved to go to the buffet and get to make her own plate! So this would’ve been a nice treat for her. She had recently just discovered that she liked shrimp, and would fill a whole plate with popcorn shrimp her first trip to the buffet!
The random magazine photo cracks me up! Apparently Taevin added some Star Wars stickers to the page and made her own comic scene, hilarious! 🤣

Grandpa Jim 👴

When I looked up this date – only one photo appeared, and it wasn’t even a photo that I had taken myself. This was from a folder that my mom shared with me after my grandpa passed away.
I knew this one single picture showing up – was Grandpa Jim’s way of saying hello!
I went ahead and looked up some other photos I had with my Grandpa, all the way back to my 8th birthday in 1996.
I remember Grandpa Jim being quiet but ornery! He was often “catching a snooze” on the couch when I came to visit. He would always have the TV guide laid open over his lap and his reading specs close by. He built his log cabin home – and it was GORGEOUS.
Some of my favorite times were when I would accompany Grandpa when he went down the street from his home in Middle Point, to his “office” or “the shop”. While Grandpa was inside the house talking to his mother, I would play around in the office using all the supplies and pretending to “play work”.

Exactly one month before we leave for California ! I had started working at Frickers in February of 2017 to stack up some money before I moved cross country.
The beginning of some new style trends in my life, recently added a watch to my wardrobe which helped a lot when bartending, started doing my nails regularly, and I began to like gold jewelry displayed on my rings and my watch.
I remember this nail set like it was yesterday, I picked out the design from the internet and presented the inspiration photo to my mom. She painted my nails for me with her new gel set to get me ready for summer.
