Just found one photo from this day – one that I had taken of the moon from the patio of the Kansas City Barbeque. This was a view that I saw often while working.
This day is also Missy’s Birthday – so I attached the video that I made for her that year.

My brother Brice visits San Diego.
This particular night he came into the Barbeque after I got off work. We hung out in the back room playing some dradle and sipping Sake margaritas with Nino, Greg & Courtney.

On this day I found a lot of photos from the Kansas City Barbeque. I was taking photos of food dishes for our website. I had just started getting involved with more of the “business” side of the restaurant, as I was in charge of the large parties and reservations. I always really loved my job at the Barbeque and always strived to make improvements. The business owners were “penny pinchers” and seemed afraid of change, stuck in their old ways. On a daily basis I would think of ways that things could be done differently to better serve our customers, but not many of my ideas were ever put into action. I did however keep the photo wall updated, and always kept our supply closet organized!
A lot of the photos from this day were hanging out at the BBQ with my friends. We spent many late nights on the patio throwing back sake margaritas and singing along with the jukebox.
On this particular day we celebrated Mike Hill being sober for 20 years! I only knew Mike after he got sober, but he always told me that Jagermeister was his drink of choice, just like me!

One was a video time lapse of me rolling a blunt.
The other videos were boomerangs of myself that I took on my Uber ride to work. “Headed to the money!” 💰
I always made sure to document/capture the days when I felt like I “put myself together”. I wanted to be able to remember the times I felt good in my skin 🙂

Only one photo from this day – my work schedule. I remember it being a “big deal” the order the names were on the schedule. It seldom changed unless there were new hires, fires, or someone got more hours. The names were usually in order of whoever had the most hours. At this point in time I had somehow made it to 3RD on the list! And yes, I was working my butt off! On this date I had worked at the BBQ for 5 years.
The only other thing I felt worthy of sharing from this date – was a photo that I reposted on Instagram from SHOP OVERLOAD. Overload was a clothing/shoe/skate shop in North Park that I frequented often. If I was to walk by, I would always go in to peruse the new sneakers on display. Taevin had her first skateboard built in this shop and purchased a couple of “back-to-school” shoes here.
The photo I reposted was displaying a new green Nike low top that they were getting in store.
