I can’t seem to recognize this playhouse, but I’m guessing somewhere in North Park where we lived. We went to “Frog” park the most often (that’s what we called it – there was a HUGE, soft ground/rubber frog at the front of the playground).
The only other photo from this day is my “flower creation” on the tabletop after getting my weekly delivery of goods!

Apparently there weren’t many photos from this day – but there was a great video!
Nino used to hang out with Taevin while I worked late sometimes. This particular evening, I came home to a rehearsed dance performance. These two are always dancing together! From the first day they met on the patio of KCBBQ – where he was twirling her around and dipping her back showing off his skills!
There’s a cute video of Taevin “heeleying” around the block. They were her new favorite thing!
Also, I forgot, “SEE A CHUG/SEND A CHUG” was a thing in that moment of time. Here you can see Nino and myself starting the challenge while having dinner at The Working Class (I loved their ciders, and the sweet chili cauliflower). And then a few of our friends respond and follow suit!

Again, another mother/daughter date happening around Valentine’s day. You can see that I never had a problem with taking myself out ๐
Ever since we had moved to Cali, there was one thing I had been missing, a good margarita with some chips with salsa and white cheese! We couldn’t seem to find a spot that had that classic white cheese they served at the Mexican restaurant in the mid-west – haha. Probably because it was not really “authentic” this close to the border. But boy was I glad when we found out about Miguel’s in Old Town. They have the white melty jalapeno cheese (complimentary) as well as good food and margs! They also have a couple locations available, classic Old Town or the newer location at Portside Pier in downtown. Taevin got her usual shrimp plate.

The day after Taevin’s 12th Birthday. We took the train to LA to go to Universal Studios. What a fun day! Taevin and I walked the streets of downtown – went to the mall, and then took the train back home the same night.
I made sure to smoke a blunt on Ice Cube’s “STAR” and ride my favorite ride “The Tour” – the best part of Universal.
Missy was there in San Diego staying with us. She took care of Gus and had margaritas waiting for when I got home
